GT is the only SUPER Franchise Sony still has until its sleeve after it lost GTA, so it has to give Polyphony all the time in the world to maintain its perfect quality. God of War and Uncharted is almighty in their own right, but they are not at the rank of HALO, only GT can rival HALO.
So this is what differentiate M$ from Sony, M$ can push out HALO Wars, Legend, ODST, every year or so, but the real GT will only come out every 5 years or so, sans the Prologue.
