I have to correct your miner errors here.
I disagree with your last sentence. The best option to tank with is Paladin. Their main role is to tank. They take dmg without getting one shotted by high dmg dealing mobs.

I disagree, Ninja's kicked ass after they had both Utsusemi Ichi and Ni
Though there were some places where a Paladin tank would be better, but for most of the content a Ninja MJ was the best
NIN/RDM was the best solo class at end game imo

It's very rare to see people take Ninjas to endgame content right now. I tanked as NIN/DRK for a few NM battles and some BCNM. Byakko, and KSNM 99. CoP Ultima and Omega.
Everything else I've been pld. Its 2010 now. I mean, think about Dynamis, hundred fist will pwnd them :P
