Wii flogging the PS3 globally (both hardware & software) is probably keeping Ninty execs warm at night :)
By the end of the year, the Wii will have a lead over the PS3 in excess of 10m units. This after 12 months. Wait till 2008 hits - and "excess" sales dry up after Xmas.
