http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalf...-ps3-3d-article Summary: - Games already released will have their resolution and frame rate halved in order to work with 3D. Howmany 1080p, 60 hz games are out on PS3? - Or games will need to have features like split screen thrown out and be heavily optimized (motostorm demo) - This optimization will have to be done by the developer. Howmany developers are going to pour money in to a closed game for 3D optimizing?
In any case, 3D gaming is going to be quite a niche gaming experience to make any market impact. There just won't be many games supporting it... |
Fair points but you might be exhibiting some naivety, we may well see some games built from the ground up as 3D games, they may well innovate around graphical issues and people may not care the same considering they are playing games IN 3D!
I'm not saying this will come to pass, simply that for every criticism, there is a potential counter argument and we should really wait for the first 3D games to come out instead of speculating
