The only special part of a 3D TV is that it is 120Hz. What prevents a faster TV doing 3D?

The only thing with 360 and wii doing 3d is that who holds the rights to the 3d glasses and gaming? Would be surprised if Nvidia didn't.

The difference with PC 3d gaming is that Nvidia's new cards suck ass, and the old ones aren't perfect when it comes to 3d gaming, but yeah, if PS3 is noticably inferior, it'll be written off as a gimmick.

No, lots of TVs have the 120 hz + refresh rate. But thats the refresh rate of the screen. The TV needs to have 120 HZ input rate. That does not exist until HDMI 1.4 TVs come out... Old HDMI ports only support 60 hz input so they can't take the 3D signal.

3D gaming has been around since the 80s so I don't think anyone holds the rights to stereoscopic 3D. Also, xbox already has 2 games which work in 3D on various TVs and using many types of glasses. Avatar and XBL game...PS3 has them too, so I don't think rights to 3D gaming are the problem.

New Nvidia cards have gotten a lot of bad press...but they are not as expensive as people expected them to be and they are coming out with really good bench marks. In any case, until ATI or someone comes up with another 3D solution, Nvidia can do whatever they want on the PC for 3D. And it doesn't look like PS3 will offer much of an alternative on consoles...
