Right, which has the implication that without the 360 in some sort of always on, low power state, Natal needs to have its own processor that handles voice recognition.  Which, in turn, has its own set of implications.  The PrimeSense chip in its unaltered form does not do voice processing.  It also means that Natal would need some extra memory since voice recognition software needs training and training requires the data to be saved.  Unless Natal accesses data from the 360, it needs that extra memory in the camera.
