Selnor, the final frame buffer is 720p, but the geometry is being rendered at 540p. Remedy's statement does not conflict with this. They are using their own scaling instead of the 360s scalar. But as DF said, this was obviously done for a reason, and we can only guess that Remedy chose a method that would work on the console and provide the highest quality visuals that they could. And, as you always bring up, the hands on statements from people always talk about how good the game looks. Resolution is just one part of image quality.
