I agree with most of what you said. Alot of ppl I knew originally purchased a 360 over the PS3 due to the fact that you could pirate games. While most of them go purchase the big exclusives like Gears, Halo, COD,ect most of the other games they download.
I do have to disagree with the psp factor because that is a system where modding and pirating affected it significantly. I mean with the psp updates frequently but there's always a new modded firmware around the corner. I think a huge part of the problem with the psp was the pricing on the games when they first came out (overpriced in my opinion)
