Even so, the PS3 slim gets you nothing. You lose the BC in the off chance you ever do want to use it and you lose 2 USB ports for...what? A warranty?
Whether your current PS3 breaks or you buy the slim you're going to lose money (especially since you're on the suckers that buys the Best Buy warranty, lol) so you might as well wait.
Right now it just seems like you're trying to justify you wanting a Slim because it's a Slim even though it offers you nothing.
