I' m having a first shipment PS3 60 GB from Europe and never had problems with it (3/4 years). Selling it on E-Bay would be worth some money as someone before me says.
I think I'm going to buy a Slim and keep my old PS3 in a air free , 24 degrees temperature room and sell it after 60 years :D. Anway , now you can still get some money for it. When it's bricked , it won't be worth shit.
