It's in there, but also with the online experience, integration of features etc. The "it just works" type stuff the 360 offers. As for the PS3 it tends to half ass some things just because it works on other platforms. Or even if the PS3 did things first, they dont expand on it (internet browser for example). While the 360 "innovates" by doing it "right".
Much like the iphone vs other touch phones. They might do new cool things, but the iphone just has that "umpf!" it works.
