Breaking TOS and giving Sony the right for banning you off PSN, along with all the games you paid for, is a pretty big downside. But it is ok, you can rely on Mr.Hotz and the rest of the Hacker community for emotional support.

And what do you mean banning me from the games that I paid for?

Banning you off PSN is not limited to banning your account. It may include IP bans, locking your credit card or points from purchasing anything from PSN, removing your access to previouly purchased games on PSN.. etc etc...

If they get reallly nasty, they can remove your console specific decrpytion key from future Blu-Ray discs preventing you from playing future games/movies (think M$ blacklisting cracked windows keys).
