Sometimes things are just as simple as they look.

Try reading the T & C of using your PS3, and you'll find ther is nothing unlawful with Sonys actions.

 

You mean besides that fact that T&C and EULAs do not override laws and that the actions actually breach the consumer protection laws of several countries?
