If you ask me, because I wouldn't trust working for people with so low moral character as to stop doing their job just so they could better recruit me to their next job.  How can I trust people like that?

Especially when these are people who abandoned you before and left you in the lurch. It's like some sort of horrible romance story

 

My guess is that Activision is going to paralyze Respawn, especially if Respawn does end up just being Infinity Ward redux. Activision will make sure they can use exactly none of the resources they ever conceived at Infinity Ward. Dev tools, assets, nothing. They are going to have to start from square one.
