Huet, frankly, is a huge disappointment. I don't understand why you're trying to spin the numbers like you are. This has nothing to do with the media. Huet has not showed himself to be a competent goalie this season. Rinne and Niemi are the comparibles.
If my math is correct, these would be their stats in a full 82 game season (decimals rounded)
Niemi: 172 goals against on 1968 shots = One goal every 11 shots
Rinne: 194 goals against on 2179 shots = One goal every 11 shots
Huet: 195 goals against on 1850 shots = One goal every 9 shots
With that conclusion, if each goalie faced 2000 shots this season while maintaining those statistics...
Niemi: 182 Goals
Rinne: 182 Goals
Huet: 222 Goals
Based on his statistics, Huet would give up, on average, 40 more goals a season than Niemi and Rinne, who are essentially totally even. Huet is a major bust.
The only difference between Niemi and Rinne is that Niemi has a better team in front of him, and would be more likely to face lower percentage shots. I give the edge to Rinne.
