It's hard to judge a trend with the heavy hitters PS3 has had this year but I think they have turned a corner on sw. Squeenix's latest is not a good example of anything. It is an anomaly and in a league all it's own but GOW 3 had a good start, HR is way above expectations and they have beaten 360 in NA and DS in Japan this year. Attach rate is climbing as well.
Sorry but GT5 would not offset Halo this gen unless you think it will sell 30m. That's where the sales for hd Halo titles are headed. Some PS3 devs have let Sony down by not releasing till year 4 or 5. It's all about quality but still, it hurt.
360 is more than a shooterbox as so many titles attest. Where would fable 2 rank in the PS3 sales database? 3.54m puts it 10th, ESIV at 3.25 and fallout 3 at 3.10 would be top 20 easily. DA:O 360 has outsold the PS3 version and DS combined in spite of reviews and that's just my fav. genre. Plus 100 percent of 360 owners in my house got it for a wrpg! Nods sagely and rubs grizzled chin.
