| Miguel_Zorro said: I'm a huge Killzone 2 fan. The game sold decently (2.24 million so far) and continues to sell. With the game receiving Greatest Hits pricing, I have no doubt that it will reach 3 million lifetime units sold. This is ok, but obviously not in the same league as some of the more massive shooter franchises. What would Killzone 3 need to have to generate sales of 5-6 million or higher? These aren't necessarily things I would want, but things that I believe would generate sales:

Your 5 suggestions are good even if I personaly think that will not realy help KZ3 to explode the sales score. The first and the most simple thing to "fix" in this serie is only to create a hero, a REAL HERO, not like this boring troopers that we've played in both KZ. Know that Gear of War or Halo would not be acclaimed without their very charismatic/legendary hero like Marcus Phoenix (damn, what a awesome name !) and the Master Chief.
In another style, Nathan Drake is a big reason of the success of Uncharted franchise. This little examples show how the "great hero" notion is important for a video game. Once Gerrilla become aware of this issue and corrected it by giving us an oustanding "Killzone Hero" like the famous Duke (lol ^^), they will sell more than 5 millions of their game, for sure !!!
