I think the answer is quite clear.... Perhaps we can put this argument to rest?

Lets do some simple maths.

Currently they are selling roughly 625,000 Wii's a week (they have sold virtually the same each week for the last 3 weeks).

Doing some calculations that equates to selling 2.7 million consoles during this month.

If production is at 1.8 million  there are another .9 million coming from somewhere.

When did Nintendo convert to 1.8 million a month?  I understand it was October - November some time when it was first announced, so maybe it took effect from November only.

During November Nintendo sold roughly 970,000 which is just under half the supposed 1.8 million produced that month pretty much the exact amount that they are up in December.

Myself, I don't believe they stockpiled - I originally did, however this evidence leads me to believe otherwise.

What do you think? Have you got any other kind of evidence to change these thoughts?
