Funny, I know a CRAPTON of people who thought that FFXIII was a terrible game (not that I agree with them). As for Xenogears, there are people who simply don't understand its plot and write it off as being "convoluted" and "a game that doesn't make any sense". Just because they couldn't comprehend it doesn't mean it was bad. Though, I don't understand what you mean by many people didn't like Xenogears's plot. Go check out all the user reviews around different game sites, go check the professional reviews for Xenogears (including IGN's) go around the different gaming forums around the web, go check the different Xenogears threads on this site (there is a search engine now for you to do that) and you'll see that ALOT of people felt that Xenogears has one of the best (or the very best) storyline gaming had to offer. Though really, all you have to do is actually play Xenogears to see what I (and many other people) mean. You don't have to take my word for it. |
Xenogears... Battle System, I thought bad it was kinda like xenosaga only better by a lot but. That said, the story was amazing... Especially the First Disc. I didn't like the way they changed the story telling and sat in chairs at the end... Like I know it would have been an 80 hour game. Because it was already a 50 hour game. But I would have liked them to find a stopping point then do a sequel. The whole last disc felt rushed, and not the same experience as the first half. And the plot IMO went to many directions, at the end... I like convuluted, and I understood the plot. But I thought they went too far. But that's nitpicking... because my favorite game... has a sorceress that wants to compress time for some reason. haha. But videogame stories... it reminded me of evangelion a lot (the anime)
