I did not at all say that a game has to sell X amount to be considered whether it exists or not. As I already stated, no one denies that Xbox360 has variety. I simply believe that most people will argue that the games of different varieties are no where near as successful as the shooter genre. You do not see the same thing when it comes to PS3, Wii, PS3, or any other console to even close to the same degree as you see it on the Xbox360. This is why the Xbox360 has been pegged as the shooter box. It just does not have a sizeable list of non shooter games that have been succesful. I also never said that the PS3 nor Wii had a great amount of successful variety either. The Wii is famous for mini-game games and prime nintendo franchises. The PS3 is known for Blu-Ray more then any one genre. Each conosle has thier niche. Finally, for all the xbox exclusives that come to mind that are really successful and not shooter games, I can still only think of Forza. Fable, and maybe Mass Effect, but that is kind of a rpg/shooter. I will say again, most successfull games on the Xbox 360 (a system is generally known by it successfull games and not it's semi-successful games) are in the vast majorty shooters of one type or another. The same cannot be said for either of the 2 current gen systems. |
I entered the debate disagreeing with a guy who said 360 exclusives are mostly FPS's, he was wrong. You then quoted me and tried to make out I said something in error, which I didn't.
It doesn't matter how successful the different varieties are, they're available on the console so my point that there is variety is more than justified. I'm not arguing perceptions with you, there is no point as its purely subjective, the facts of the matter is that most 360 exclusives are NOT FPS games, it really isn't such a hard concept to grasp and its concrete fact not opinions.
