I had Time Traveler for 3DS listed in my notes, but didn't post it.
I learned about a new AfterBurner while I was posting this thread, cept it's a arcade game for PS360..but a retail release on the scale of Ace Combat, while retaining the uniqueness of that series should still come.
@ Mummelmann
i left out a lot of the newer Sega series cause it would've taken me quite a bit longer to analyze those franchises, but that's one(VChronicles) that looks to have a lot of interest to me as a gamer.
@Fab_GS
I don't think either of the Shen Mue games would fit with WiiWare's limitations.
Why risk so much with a Shen Mue by making it for PS360 when it's track record hasn't shown to be very successful... That's why I said to slightly upgrade the pre-existing engine, as to minimize costs and maximize profits, if not in the short time, then in the long term, cause all of the series (1-16) could inexpensively be put on Wii at low risk and low cost, with a potential high reward.
I don't think any of those games (sonic, JGR, ect.) would fit on WiiWare either.
A new 2-D Sonic IS coming out soon, Sonic 4: Episode I, followed by more episodes...but past those episodes, I think a new hook should be implemented for a new 2-D Sonic...may'be a classic game designer/ team reinterpret Sonic, and that becomes a seprate brand itself w/ Sonic being handed off like Metroid and Retro Studios, Team Ninja (kinda like Metroid...) ...The Miyamoto (& Naka if possible) Sonic game I'd like to see would be 3-D like Mario Galaxy if I were in charge.
@sega4life
That's not a bad idea actually, I'd like to see games monetarily structured like cable packages are handled and marketed. Research should be done to, as conclusively as you're gonna get to, finding out the average amount of games purchased by the largest percentage of gamers..and then charge either a 60 dollar, the average price of a game, or 30 dollar, if the average is a game every other month basic Video Game Cable charge, with premium services offering enough incentives...this could all co-exist with Retail too, like The Movies and T.V. may'be, or at least untill retail is the minority share.
Making all the classic games in HD, well, I dunno, I think it'd be better if they made them online multiplayer compatible...may'be that'll be Wii2's hook with it's Virtual Console service in the future, I sure hope so..(or may'be DreamCast 4's!)
@gustave154
Right! another Sega Console...but right now, given Sega's 'state of the union', what would be the system? a classic games system, a brand new system, and how would virtual reality be enough for it to coexist with Xbox3, PS4, Wii2, and possible Apple Pippin 2? You saw what happened with the WiiMote's tech right? Though the imitators haven't failed or succeeded, so far, they've failed insomuch as it looks stale and could further stagnate the games industry (with waves of FPS games doing intial damage.)
But yeah, Something like what was shown in that Nintendo On video would be bomb diggity.
@Wagram
Sega + Sony/Microsoft taking down Nintendo? Analogous to the Shen Mue story, it was Sony that was Lan Di, killing Sega's "dad", or console division, leaving young Ryo as a "software" based company sturggling to get back...
Just ask Seaman what he thinks of Sony!? He wanted blood! or somthing like that... i forget...but he was more friendly towards Nintendo when pressed in Seaman 1 Dreamcast.
But seriously, I think Sega is postioned nicely now, amicable with the big 3 and Apple. Though I think a 25-50 dollar Dreamcast, with online, and a few Sega/thrid party games release a year would work quite well...
