dude no im sorry it has nothing to with halo or the conduit, it has everthing to do with precision and the gamepad does not have better precision than a mouse or recent motion controller. why do you think games like starcraft or games like world of goo stay away from the gamepad ? its not becuse the gamepad is to good for them its because those games are to damn precise for a gamepad. the wii could have rts titles done perfectly but they wont sell instead it brings a more colorful puzzler like world of goo and succeeds brilliantly, shooters are no different the aiming is better with a mouse or motion controller and that is the MAIN mechanic of a shooter , gamepads for shooters worked for a while but now we can implement better tech for game consoles and its about time they changed it |
First paragraph: Precision doesn't make the interface better, it just makes it more precise.
Second: Why do you think games like fighters stay away from the keyboard? Different interfaces have differing strengths, try again.
Third: How is shooting better? I propose a thought interface with perfect shooting. With it I can think and you die faster than you can even move your hand. Perfect interface, yes/no? If more people are using the gamepad every year and few people are buying the games on the Wii inspite your insistance that its a better interface to the contrary I would propose that the gamepad is a perfectly workable controller and no barrier to the enjoyment of shooter games for most people.
Tease.
