Before Kevin Butler, Sony ads were kinda arrogant. Then they became funny. Now, after those cheap-shots at natal and wii, they've become arrogant again. So, even though I like the kevin butler ads, they don't deserve this.
Nintendo's ads are great. They're funny, they're nostalgic and most important, they're efficient - and that's what make them the best commercials. And the first wii ad (the vs fight with PS3) will be the most memorable in the gen - "fun"!
I don't know about microsoft's, just the gears of war ad - which while cool, it's nothing as good as people say. So I won't comment.
