Deadly Premonition had a 61 on metacritic. It's not like it was universally panned by critics. IGN isn't the be all end all. And besides I don't really pay attention to metacritic scores anymore. People who play only 80+ metacritic rated games may very well be missing out on some amazing experiences just because they assume that they wouldn't like any game rated lower than 80.
