Ever purchase a game SO BAD that you couldn't finish it?

I'm someone who has really picky tastes in games, but MGS4 was my first MGS game I've played-and I actually beaten that game (of course it was on medium difficulty still).

To be fair I probably didn't give it a good enough chance. I think I tried playing it for maybe a week then gave up and went back to Oblivion or Resistance (whatever I was playing at the time).
