The userbase argument is invalid for GT since GT > GT2 and GT3 > GT4.
You do have a valid argument for development time and delays and such. I think because of this it could be the lowest selling GT game. I still think it'll do very well and probably outsell MW2 PS3 but I don't know if it'll surpass GT2 which is the lowest selling I think.
