this is what a member said in the UT site when they were asking why there wasnt any split screen in the game

"From OXM July '07--issue #72
(I realize this is an xbox mag, but I think this should most definitely apply for the PS3 as well)
From page 51
" "Our plan is to support up to four-person coop in the single player game," says (Steven) Polge . "That was one of the nice things that Gears validated--yeah we're not the only ones who think co-op is cool. We're also going to support split-screen, but it's going to be much easier to do four-person co-op than it is to support two player split-screen. But those are both definites. Multiplayer is an important part of UT, so there's no risk or issues there. "

This is what Mark Rein said:
I don't have that issue at hand but I'll take your word for it that this is accurate and I'll say I'm sorry that this feature didn't make it into the game.I realize this won't be any consolation to those of you who want this feature but I don't recall us saying UT3 was going to have split screen"

then he suddenly edits his post to:

"I don't have that issue at hand but I'll take your word for it that this is accurate and I'll say I'm sorry that this feature didn't make it into the game. I personally wasn't aware we had ever planned to do it and we certainly hadn't talked it up as a feature of UT3 on PS3."

Hmmm.. 4 player is a pretty big factor for me... are we talking about co-op story only? Can we at least have 4 man multiplayer on a TV? That would be what I need it for :D
