Stylish menus and cool projection technology make for a unique experience. The story is an amalgamation of different seasons of 24, but it's nice to see Sam so angry.
8.5 Graphics
Nice animations. Gritty but good-looking environments. The framerate occasionally dips, but it's nothing major.
9.0 Sound
Michael Ironside does a great job reprising his role as Sam Fisher. The enemies have some nice quips. Solid musical score.
9.0 Gameplay
Stealth is fast and fun. Mark & Execute is a great addition. The AI is excellent if you play on Realistic difficulty.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
The single-player and co-op campaigns are short, but there's a lot of other things to do. And you'll probably want to play through everything more than once.
9.3 Outstanding OVERALL
how does that make it a 9.3? isnt that a 8.7 for overall? I know Im not the first one to mention it though |
The final score is NOT an average..however it is a bit weired that when no single aspect got more than 9.0, that the overall will be a 9.3
oh well not like IGN reviews matter...they have been full of shit imo since the days of the Godhand review

Yeah why don't you go take a look at Heavy Rain review and then come back to me and act all confused... the game as a whole is greater than the sum if it's parts... that's all

Nothing, but all of its individual scores are equal to or below the overall score, so people need to stop acting like this has never happened before.

But people are saying it got a 9.3 when none of the scores is higher than a 9. HEAVY RAIN's overall is a 9 with 9s in the score. Quite different.

How is it different? Heavy Rain has 8's and 8.5's, in fact more of those than it has 9's. Stop grasping at straws just because it's Heavy Rain.

it's an overall of 9... what's strange is that it has the same replay value score as splinter cell...

The game can be played and beaten in many ways. In fact, it's one of the only games to allow so many different outcomes. Is a little strange, but it makes sense considering the content.
