When people talk about the Wii, they don't talk about Nintendo. They simply talk about "Wii". While the Wii is part of Nintendo... They don't immediately think "Nintendo". When they think PS... There is one thing carl doesn't seem to get, just because the NAME Playstation is bandied around, doesn't mean the name Nintendo isn't in people's minds. Just because people say "lets go play the Wii" doesn't mean they don't know who it's made by ... they know full well it's Nintendo and so the brand name is there.
Playstation was a huge brand, heck it still is, but it just isn't what it used to be compared to Xbox (in the west) and Nintendo (WW)
Anyway that's my take on it, I think Carls argument is ridiculous.
