WRPGs more advanced than JRPGs agree?

Instead of telling characters what to do/open in jrpgs, in wrpgs you ARE the character doing the actions. its basically the same thing, however a wrpg is an upgraded and better rpg...do you agree? the only difference between the two is wrpgs cost more so the games are not as long...discuss
