Sony.

Nintendo will not be able to top the momentum gained with the Wii in my opinion. They are still lacking quite a few features important to core gamers today (Viable Online Network) and while they could certainly design one (I don't believe we will see it). I think Nintendo came in at the right price at the right time with the right type of gimmick to sell to the public. Sony / MS came to the public with the same old, same old with huge price tags. I think MS/Sony pushed HD systems before the market was ready for it and it cost them in many ways. Where as Nintendo predicted exactly where the market would be for this. However, Sony / MS are now seasoned into HD gaming, where as Nintendo still has yet to crack that barrier.

Next Gen, Sony won't have the ammo to spend ridiculous amounts of money that they did on the PS3. Their next system will be a solid upgrade for sure but one that is much more viable to the market in terms of pricing. A more competitive priced Sony system with most likely many more features than a Nintendo system?

Microsoft could also see a spot at number 1. But like others have said, they don't have the first party studio support for a strong first party line-up. I see Halo starting to fade a bit (Which I believe has been a big driving factor of sales for MS to this point.). And unless MS drastically improves it's first party games division it's going to lag behind Sony (Like we have been seeing recently). MS wisely priced themselves better and jumped ahead of Sony. That has had just about everything to do with their major success this generation. I don't know if I can see Sony sitting on their hands as much for the next generation.
