| The Ghost of RubangB said: RPGs and a few other genres really got perfected during the SNES era. The graphics and sound were much better than anything before, but not to the point where they had to reinvent everything for the 3rd dimension, FMVs weren't possible yet, and budgets weren't so high they couldn't afford to do a single interesting thing. Riskier costs lead to less risky game design. I wish they'd release Final Fantasy Gaiden in the west, but I don't really have time for RPGs nowadays. I'm dabbling with Infinite Space right now. |
Do you take your DS with you when you go to work? I get to work 1/2 hour early and sit at the coffee shop downstairs and play. It's taken me forever but I've gone through Chrono Trigger, FFIV, Nostalgia and am currently doing FFIII right now this way. It's actually a nice way to play games like this, especially if level grinding is neccessary since there is a time-limit. I really love my DS!
