Sony protect "us" from hackers how? I don't think the "us" part is misused.

I see it like a jailbreak for phones for CFW for PSP.
It opens up the platform for the user to use however the hell they want, and not how Sony wants.
It's a win for users to me. (No, not everyone use it for piracy, just you and the people around you.)

the problem is that jailbreaking phones and the PSP is illegal because your breaking the licensing agreement for the software on the phones making it so Apple, HTC, Sony, etc all have legal right to brick your systems.

Read the TOS one of these days for any piece of software including Operation Systems.

I disagree with the "illegal" part.

Jailbreaking is only breaking the TOS and/or EULA between you and Apple (Apple being an example of a company).

You bought the phone, so, you can do whatever you want with it without breaking the law. TOS and EULA are not laws, they are just terms that you agreed to the company (which you never read anyways).

Finally, if jailbreaking your phone is illegal, won't you think we'll have a whole lot of people in jail by now?
