On Topic: I would hate to see this series come to PS3 as game diversity on platforms is vital to push the companies to ACTUALLY make their consoles unique, or are they truly twin? If they both want my money they better not be.

I thought Gears of War was shortened to Gears to prevent confusion.  Only time I normally see Geow come up is when people argue that the REAL GoW is God of War. 

Good point I usually refer to the game as Gears, but I have thought people were talking about God of War when they used GOW to refer to gears. It is a little annoying. I agree lets call it gears, its all good.
