Not a fact: Street Fighter IV metacritic - PS3=94 360=93 I'm not a technical guy but the "lag", or lack thereof, I "get" from my 360 is the same as I "get" from my PS3. You might be right, you might be wrong though, I don't know, but if it makes you sleep better at night I'll give you that and say I missed that "fact" too. You must be the most patient man in the world then, but either way I can make any game sound boring and horrible as well. And I didn't twist your words, that's what you said! Unbiased JRPG fans might love Demon's Souls as well, so you're just saying that any JRPG fan that liked Demon's Souls is automatically biased. Anyways I'm completely done with this topic, I'm not one to keep debating stuff on the internet. I thought you'd agree to disagree, I guess not, either way, reply and feel happy that you "won" our "argument". |
While Samurai Shodown Sen may indeed be crap, it's actually a pretty legendary series among ultra hardcore fighting game fanatics.
As for metacritic, you can't compare scores that way. The fact that PS3 reviewers are in general more fond of fighting games than 360 reviewers, and thus more likely to award them high ratings (or just more forgiving in general), does not mean the PS3 version is better. If you're going to do a Metacritic comparison you should *only* count scores from reviewers who reviewed *both* versions of the game. And if you do you'll find that the 360 versions does indeed score higher.
As for input lag on 1080p screens with PS3 games that doesn't support 1080p upscaling, I provided two links for those who want to know more about this surprisingly underreported and often ignored problem. Read them.
Of course you can make any game sound boring and horrible. Why would you describe a game you hate in a way that makes it sound interesting ? I already said that what I wrote about Demon's Souls is purely an opinion, and that it's OK to disagree. Hell, I even called it a great game for people who like that type of game. And I said many JRPG fans who love Demon's Souls love it purely because of fanboyism, I did NOT say this applied to everyone. And I base that assumption on the fact that Demon's Souls is so radically different from the typical JRPG in ways that JRPG fans tend to dislike. It's essentially a dark WRPG with no story, little character interaction, and extremely punishing gameplay. Does that sound like something the average Tales/Star Ocean/FF fan would like ?
I'm not trying to "win" any argument here. I'm trying to help the TC make an informed buying decision.
