Which company is larger?

Larger in terms of used area or what? I'd say Sony has that one, because I'm pretty sure Nintendo tender out their manufacturing to hardware manufacturers like Asustek, whereas Sony have their own factories.

Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages this way....
