He's 7. The media wants you to think he's 16 so that girls don't feel strange when they're turned on when he says "there's gonna be one less lonely girl".
I have to say, I've always hated when a young act sings/raps/talks about love. It used to really piss me off because you just knew they had no idea what they were talking about. In Bieber's case, it doesn't bother me at all. I have to say, his approach (from the songs that I've heard) is pretty well done.
