So has anyone else got the game yet?
It seems like few have had the chance to find a copy

Well, I got mine today after pre-ordering only a few days ago (last Thursday).  Frankly, I was surprised at how many online games were already going at 8 pm my local time.  I'd opine that it's sold at least pretty darn well, especially for it's first day. Wouldn't venture to specify a number or try to claim 100k copies or more, but it seems a good number of people had it and were online vs. playing the campaign mode.

I have to agree with the above opinion so far.  I personally wouldn't even compare UT3 to COD4.  They are so completely different, I can't see my way to compare them or how I would try.  I guess I could say that while the art styles are wildly different, the quality is at least equal, as far as I can judge from those differences.  UT is just a wild, frenetic ride, whereas COD4 is more strategy and team based it seems to me.  I still will play a lot of WarHawk too.  Again, different type of game.  WarHawk is more varied, IMO, although definitely slower paced. (and I thought WarHawk got really crazy sometimes!).  If you've experienced UT before on the PC, you KNOW it's a different sort of beast altogether.  Very fun and crisp.

I too was amazed at just how fluid all the animation is, especially considering the speed.  Although necessarily slower paced than it is on the PC, UT is definitely the fastest console shooter out there.  It will make people newly experiencing it on the console for the first time just as dizzy as it does newbies on the PC.  Definitely worth the buy (If you want a console version of UT)!
