It seems everyone agrees on the things I mentioned (plus flash, I knew I forgot something), and they can't have been that expensive to implement and could definitely be done, I have to wonder why Apple would have left them out? It smacks of the "Leave them out of the first iteration to make a huge leap forward in the next one" type of mentality, which is very frustrating.
