I think telling people to shut up is just as unproductive as "trolling".
Trolling is also trying to provoke some sort of emotion or controversy. While it can be said that "it's shit" is controversial, is it really comparable to trolling like making a blatantly racist post, arguing an indefensible position, etc? I think people are cheapening the word in this forum to anything that's controversial, subjective, or debatable.
