Pretty much this. I really don't understand why everyone thinks 3D is going to skyrocket the PS3 to the stars. I suppose it could be the "Sony is magical time!" thinking, but it just seems silly. Maybe, I'll be wrong and everyone's going to buy a PS3 and another new TV because of the magic-time, I just don't see it.
