If I made geohot sound like some Robin Hood hero of the people, that was not my intention. Geohot IS a douchebag, I should have been more clear. He's just 1 one millionth the douchebag Sony is, and the fact that your ire is reserved specifically for him is troubling to me.
I don't think you should thank him, but my point was that his douchebaggery benefits normal people while Sony's douchebaggery benefits billionaires at normal people's expense. Relatively speaking, I think geohot is the lesser of the two evils by a wide margin.
