That's what I want. Sitting with a pen and writing digital notes for my classes, and I know for a fact that I won't get a tablet before I find one that will let me do that.

Windows Tablet PC's did this 10 years ago (and still today). It didn't make anyone rich. The technology is called Digital Ink. I sat in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and watched Bill Gates unveil it at Comdex in 2000. It never caught on.
Btw, the $360 million in sales Apple did over the weekend I think they were happy with.

You don't seem to realize that they also did a whole lot other stuff which was not needed and cost several hundreds of dollars. You seem to be a very picky reader today.
