Maybe release a super deluxe PS4 for technophiles, next to a cheap entry model for the kids.
I would gladly have paid much more for my PS3 if it had a DVR tuner/software integrated. For many a higher entry pricing isn't much of a problem for others it's crucial (but usually they join at a later date when enough budget priced games are available).
