Technically that shouldn't matter.   Not speaking in this particular case... but if it looks like and you think they have weapons... it shouldn't matter whether they do or not in the end result.

 

Yes it does. Those men were a threat to US troops if they were armed and looking at the video they were (AKs and one RPG) with one of those men opening fire, the US can't take that chance. What I like to know is what  two Reuters news employees doing with armed men? I won't side one way or another until I get more info. 

To me it doesn't matter if the people are armed or not... but if the shooters thought they were armed.

Which is what needs to really be figured out.


That and if they followed correct procedure in seeing in they had weapons or if they jumped the gun.

 

they asked the officer in charge to clear them to shoot. You have to remember that you're only seeing one apache's footage. The officer could have seen the weapons more clearly.
