Wouldn't hold my breath for what? I already said I wouldn't care if this was even just the reveal of a good arcade game like shadow complex. I'm not trying to hype through the roof or anything I was just curious why no one here seemed excited to see the next Epic game. Put it this way no matter what Thursday will be sweet because they are announcing a game never shown before. That's a FACT pure and simple and to see new games for any system is always fun.

Like I said before, part of the hype surrounding news like this (an announcement of an announcement) is the speculation.  So in that thread that was linked to earlier, people were speculating what game it could be.  We knew it was from Sony, but that really doesn't narrow down the list of possible games very much.

With Epic Games and CliffyB, it's much different.  It's going to be Gears of War 3 or Shadow Complex 2.  I'd throw in Unreal Tournament, but I feel like Epic is going to abandon that line of games after the dismal UT3.  Besides, CliffyB has never shilled for UT, it's always been Mark Rein who has done that.  It could be something else, but then no one really knows what it could be and any guesses would be kind of pointless.

So in the Sony thread, people could guess that maybe it's The Last Guardian.  Or maybe Syphon Filter.  Or David Jaffe's new game, rumored to be Twisted Metal.  Or maybe the rumored Starhawk, the game that the former developers from Incognito are working on.  Or how about news about Agent.  Or The Agency?  Or Killzone 3?  Resistance 3?  InFamous 2?  Motorstorm 3?

See the difference?  With the Sony GameTrailers tease, there's a shitload of speculation going on.  With Epic Games and CliffyB, it's either Gears of War 3, Shadow Complex 2, or something new, in which case it's almost pointless to talk about it.  I doubt that Epic Games is going to pull out their old IPs like Jill of the Jungle or Jazz Jackrabbit.

Hell, the thread you linked didn't even have that much hype in it.  A lot of that thread is taken up by an argument with kowenicki and some others, which I glossed over.
