Overall his assessment seems fair. The only problem I have is that he set his criteria and then abandoned it. He gave the PS3 the edge based on diversity, but at the beginning of the piece he clearly states his evaluation will be based on: graphics, commercial success, and critical acclaim. Diversity is not mentioned. If the decision was based solely on the stated criteria it is probably a draw or maybe a slight edge for the 360.
