I know, I think I would give almost anything to visit. Last year my girlfriend lived with a physics student who got to visit it. I was extremely jealous.

i have a question, what is the purpose of the hadron collider? i heard it was to discover the origin of the universe, right?

Several experiments are going on (four I believe) but the biggest purpose is probably finding the Higgs Boson which gives mass to particles. Finding it would help confirm that our current model of the universe is correct.
