I don't know how people hate sepiroth, I've always really liked him, that guy is cool as fk, plus one of the best boss themes ever!
Do other players count? There was some guys I REALLY used to love to hate when I played the MMO Lineage 2, called Playa and Vina. They ran and stole from the biggest clans on one of the servers, never seemed to stop playing, would go out of their way to PK/report/try and ban any enemies and were always on forums bragging and arguing. Ok I'd probably get on with them now and hold no grudges but they made some great enemies lol.
The origami killer was quite a good bad guy, only because he built up my trust and I liked him till I found out who it was, then suddenly he became a very dark and evil character.
