Is playing video games on a HDTV really needed,I know on the ps3 you do need it for the text, but with a HDTV is there a big difference if you dont have a HDMI cable connected to the HD or is God Of War 3 better looking with a HDMI,Component cables connected to it
Ok I just though a little and the developers made these HD games with HD in mind so I guess you do need a HDTV,but I have a HDTV in the living room and I use the cables the PS3 came with do i need to get the HD ones?

Even forking out $30 for the official Nintendo Wii component cables to an HDTV makes a difference. Playing games on a HDTV with the appropriate cables are not required. But it's one of those things when giving you the technical numbers mean little to nothing. You just have to see it to believe it. Sensory delight.

This is an example of my above post. Do not waste $30 on this crap, but the cheapest ones you can find, they perform the EXACT same.

Ummm... Yes and no. Component is analog, NOT digital. Shielding and durability for analog cables to carry a signal is more vital than digital. Nintendo makes quality 1st party peripherals including their cables. In MOST cases when it comes to cables carrying an analog signal (such as component), you get what you paid for.
